About Our Georgia Lottery-Funded Pre-K Program
Our Lottery-funded Pre-K is part of the Georgia state-funded initiative that supports early childhood learning through state lottery funds. This program pays for qualified teachers, and we provide the learning environment. Because it’s a government-funded program, there are specific eligibility rules:

Residency: The child must live in Georgia. Military families moving to Georgia may enroll if they provide official moving orders. All other families must show proof of residency, such as a utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage, or vehicle registration.

Age: The child must be 4 years old by September 1 of the school year. Since we begin our school year in early August, some children may start when they are just shy of turning four.
It’s important to know that while some schools use a lottery system to select children for the PreK Lottery School, Discovery Zone Kids uses first-come, first-served enrollment. This often surprises families moving from other states, who may think they've missed a deadline. In fact, we often have a few spots still available, especially for military families planning a move.
Our Lottery Pre-K uses the same funding as all Georgia Lottery-funded programs—the only difference is our curriculum style, which is uniquely suited to our Discovery Zone approach.
Private Pre-K Option for 3–4 Year Olds
For families who may not meet the requirements for the state-funded Pre-K or are looking for different options, we also offer a tuition-based Pre-K program for children ages 3–4. This program follows the same learning goals as a private Pre-K and has no strict age cutoff, giving families more flexibility while still providing a strong educational foundation.
